ABOUT US
St. Teresa's Youth Group (STYG) was set up for the Catholic children
of the local parishes and meets every 2nd Sunday at St. Teresa's
Church Hall of Green Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, UK. (To find out
when the next meeting is, please click here.)
It was formed in September 2001 by the parents of prospective members.
The youth group initiated with no financial backing and gained its
early equipment from charity shops and second hand sales. Our first
meeting was on 30th September 2001.
Three years on in 2004 and we now have brand new equipment including
pool tables and air hockey, a website in December 2003 and a thriving
interest from young people of all ages throughout the area. We have
been fortunate enough to have held 43 meetings including seven special
evenings (Up until 10/11/04) ranging from a BBQ to bowling.
We have also completed and participated in many fund raising events
from 'The Car Wash' to 'Swimathon' raising money for a whole host
of charities from CAFOD to The Rotary Club
St. Teresa's Youth Group relies on the interest of its members and
the commitment of their parents to keep functioning well and up
until now, we have never been short of adult helpers or interest
from young people and would like to thank you all for your continuing
support.
